I am ready for the Matterhorn, because...
...I love stepping outside my comfort zone. I have had so many great days on the snow at the foot of the Matterhorn; I’d now like to see the view from the top.

My mountain climbing experience:
I am a natural rambler and love being in the mountains. Mountain climbing, however, is a new challenge for me.

My biggest challenge for this project:
The whole project will be a challenge and I am therefore looking forward to it enormously.

My connection to Zermatt and the Matterhorn:
I have been coming to Zermatt for years for Zermatt Unplugged and enjoying the music and snow sports. I attended several autumn training camps in Zermatt as I still compete in snowboarding races. Like many other people, I spent ages simply looking at the mountain. Last year, when I accompanied a friend to the Hörnli Hut and he went off to climb the Matterhorn the following day, I said to myself on the way back to Zermatt:"One day, I want to do that, too!" However, I never dreamed that it would happen so soon.

It annoys me when:
...guests turn up early. ;-)

My first thought when I heard about this project:
A shout of excitement and the thought: if not now, then when?
