Hotel Ratings Distinguish Zermatt Hotels

27/11/2017

Over the last few days, three hotel ratings have just been published: In the Trivago Awards 2018, the "NZZ am Sonntag" Hotel Ratings as well as the Winter Hotel ratings of the Sonntagszeitung, the Zermatt hotels results stand out.

NZZ am Sonntag Hotel Ratings

"Distinguished Zermatt has one of the best hotels in the 3-Star Superior category," writes the NZZ on Sunday, citing the Hotel Bellerive in its "Five darlings of the editorial staff" hotel ratings in that category. The following can be read:

"The "Bellerive" tempts guests with its individually furnished rooms. A guest immediately feels at home thanks to warm colours and cleverly used design elements - and he or she falls asleep with a view of the Matterhorn. The regional breakfast buffet is extensive, the service charming.”

The Omnia also made it into the NZZ am Sonntag Hotel Ratings. In the “small but impressive” category, this 5-star hotel found a home as the property ranked fifth:
"The hotel, whose 30 rooms have no numbers, boasts a Whirlpool with a view of the Matterhorn, a modern design, and 15 GaultMillau points."

Trivago Awards Switzerland 2018

Every year, Trivago also identifies the best-rated hotels in Switzerland based on 175 million guest reviews. Eight Zermatt hotels rank among the top ten in the categories "Five-star hotels", "Four-star hotels" and "Three-star hotels":

Five-star hotels
3rd place: The Omnia
5th place: Mont Cervin Palace

Four-star hotels
1st place: Parkhotel Beau Site
4th place: Europe Hotel & Spa
5th place: Hotel Matterhorn FOCUS
10th place: Fleurs de Zermatt

Three-star hotels
1st place: Hotel Bellerive
5th place: Hotel Romantica

The Parkhotel Beau Site as well as the Hotel Bellerive both even finished first in their categories. Trivago wrote about both of these award winners:

Parkhotel Beau Site: "A spacious and uncomplicated 4-star hotel for connoisseurs, recreational athletes and families in a central and quiet location in Zermatt. The warmth of the guests and hosts as well as the loyalty to the house of both sides give the Beau Site this unique and informal flair."

Hotel Bellerive: "Originally mixed with modern styles. Outside, a Valias façade of old wood; inside, modern, homelike and with loving attention to detail."
