Skiing with Special Guests

20/09/2017

The Zermatt Ski-Festival once again invites everyone to have fun in the snow with well-known ski stars on 21-26 November 2017. This time, Franco Marvulli, a former cycling track pro, will also join the enjoyment with his swerves through the snow.

Skiing fun with former ski pros. That’s the motto of the Zermatt Ski-Festival, which takes place for the 38th time this year. Over five days, registered guests stay overnight in four- or five-star hotels, spend time skiing on the pistes with former ski racers, test skis at Trockener Steg and benefit from other offers. “Every year, about 200 to 250 people take part in our festival. Around 60% of these are regular guests at Zermatt,” explained Joseph Weibel from the Zermatt Ski-Festival organisation.

Familiar Names

A highlight of the festival is the presence of former ski racers. Seven ski stars mix with the guests: Maria Anesini-Walliser, Chantal Bournissen, Erika Reymond-Hess, Karin Seewer-Roten, Mike von Grünigen, Bruno Kernen and Urs Räber. Anyone who would like to can ski with them and get valuable tips at the same time. And for the first time, Franco Marvulli, a former cycling track pro is present as a special guest.

Exceptional Care

"We operate in an exclusive arrangement," said Weibel. Because the guests should be well taken care of. For example, this includes a special app created just for the festival as well as a daily newsletter, sports medical care, yoga lessons, or a VIP Corner at Trockener Steg. The ski tests are also exclusive. Guests can test the latest ski models for the coming season. Overall, there are more than 800 pairs of skis from twelve different ski brands available.
