The CERVO reopened in 2020 with a substantial renovation and new build showcasing the next stage in its design concept. The sense of place is as strong as ever but the influences of the wider world are also plain to see. DREIMETA GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for interior design. Andrea Kraft-Hammerschall, CEO and a graduate in interior design explains: "Zermatt is about regional character and nature, but there is also the element of après-ski and luxury. It stands for people who are open to the wider world, pioneering and adventurous. This melting pot is also reflected in CERVO's interior design."

The ICONIC AWARDS are bestowed by one of the world's most important centres of excellence for design and architecture, the German Design Council. Its awards are seen as an independent international seal of quality for contemporary developments and design achievements.
