Among the 870 best restaurants in Switzerland are 17 in Zermatt. Gault-Millau tested them, made their selection and listed them in the 2020 Gault-Millau Guide for Switzerland. Two restaurants in Zermatt received 17 points – the mark for the best quality and high consistency: The After Seven in the Backstage Hotel and the Ristorante Capri in the Mont Cervin Palace. These two are among the 77 best restaurants in Switzerland.
Gault-Millau awarded a total of 242 points in Zermatt. This is the same number of points than in the previous year. The Omnia and the Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni in the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof each received one point more than in the previous year. The Uncorked Restaurant in the Chalet Hotel Schönegg, which was awarded 14 points in 2019, is missing from the 2020 list. New to the list, however, is the Sonnmatten Restaurant with 13 points.
