Women have always climbed mountains as enthusiastically, skilfully and fearlessly as men – but for a long time their achievements were not well documented. The Lost and Found Memories Office №2 aims to change this, focusing on around forty "Women on the Mountain" from the Alpine Museum's collection. The Lost and Found office also offers a platform for the mountain memories of today's female alpinists and climbers: whether it's a travelogue or summit selfie – the focus here is on what women experience, think, achieve in the mountains.

An object from Zermatt features among the exhibits: the "Lucy Walker" chocolate contributed by Zermatt Tourism. The chocolate symbolises an event-packed summer season surrounding the 150th anniversary of Lucy Walker's first ascent of the Matterhorn.

The exhibition at the Swiss Alpine Museum will run until October 2023. Further information is available here.
