The Zermatt – Matterhorn destination is Clean&Safe

The Zermatt – Matterhorn destination continues to focus on protecting guests and employees against COVID-19 as far as possible. For over a year now, Zermatt Tourism and almost 200 businesses have been members of the Clean&Safe label – committing themselves to consciously complying with the coronavirus protection concepts.

In September 2020, Zermatt Tourism called on all service partners to register for the Clean&Safe label. Almost 200 businesses responded to the call and became members. The label shows guests that they are visiting a business that is consciously committed to adhering to the protection concept. The Zermatt – Matterhorn destination continues to focus on protecting guests and employees against COVID-19 as far as possible. Local business are committed to using the label and to consistently implementing measures to protect against COVID-19.

The tourism industry associations created the Clean&Safe label with the aim of protecting guests from coronavirus infection. They developed protection concepts based on hygiene and behaviour guidelines and the principles for health and employee protection defined by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). All events and businesses must plan and implement the necessary personal distances and hygiene measures. The protection concept focuses on implementing measures to protect customers and participants as effectively as possible against coronavirus infection.
