Switzerland Tourism and the Blick Group asked the public to vote – 76 Swiss ski resorts competed in five categories for the Blick Winter Awards, with over 53,000 votes cast for the winter destinations.
The Zermatt – Matterhorn destination came out on top as the best ski resort for "Sport and Fun", beating competing resorts like Davos Klosters and the Jungfrau Ski Region. The Blick Winter Award was presented to Zermatt Tourism by tourism professor Jürg Stettler.
In addition to the Blick Winter Award, the winning ski resorts also pick up an advertising budget of CHF 85,000, which can be used across all Blick Group channels (online, TV, social media and print).
