Täsch is also the transfer point for travellers to Zermatt: Guests park their automobiles in the garages and take the shuttle train to car-free Zermatt. The village is on a level area of the valley floor at 1,449 m. In summer, alpinists set off on high-alpine tours into the Mischabel group. In winter, cross-country skiers circle the 15 km trail.

Täsch has around 1,200 residents and is a little more than five kilometres from Zermatt. The attractions are hiking in the mountains and a great golf course. In winter, Täsch is the cross-country skiing centre for the region.
